I roam the archives of my heart
dusting off the shelves
throwing out the wishes
cutting up the pictures
pictures of you and me
how it use to be
only one picture exists
and you have it with you
a real life picture
on a bench for two
it doesnt matter
that i never saw it
because i was there
a real life picture
of a real life affair
i hope when you look at it
and i know you do
and all the other pictures
i sent to you
jades and hot pinks
and black stockings and lace
dressed in magnolia bubbles
and a smile on my face
sometimes like that water faucet
that steamy water faucet
you run hot and cold
trying to force me down the drain
but i don’t think you can
because your heart still has
a warm place for me

I think we all hold a warm place for those we love/loved...and no matter what happened since, those soft memories can't ever be destroyed.

I loved this... *s

Victoria darling girl shall I just say something short like this is good writing? Noooooooooooo of course not, because it’s not good writing, it’s stunningly fabulous writing. YOU are a superb writer my friend.

Fabulous writing and this is so descriptive so vivid in its image of someone sorting through memories and whatever the outcome of the dream we always have a corner that holds a space for a loved one

Absolutely excellent writing

A nice place of remembering, hopefully not to painful....a sadder tone, but nicely done....

Sad and with a touch of bitterness, but understandable, as lost love tends to carry these feelings.   Nice writing, my friend. *hugs*

Awwwww Vic.....never forget, never sever the golden twine that bound the
two hearts originally.
You see, when that Mega-love hits, it doesnt go away.  Nope!
It's in there, perhaps we tuck it away for a bit,
but its there, always.

Amazing writing, Vic.  You are able to say so well
what is almost impossible to articulate.
