Accounting for Myself!
By Larry Chadwick

If I wanted to balance my checkbook,
I would have become an accountant.
And whoever created the idea of bills,
Must have chosen to make us mutants.

Whose bright idea was this concept,
To design more expenses then money?
If it weren’t for debt I’d be a happy man,
And my life would still be quite sunny!

I wish I were independently wealthy,
Because I’d pay him to do it himself!
Then I wouldn’t be stuck paying,
For the privilege to support myself!

Larry,
only three things in life are certain death, taxes and the wit in this poem.
Cool write...but that maybe because you are lacking hair to keep the warmth in.

let me ask you this....

if you have a stack of checks in your checkbook do you automatically figure it's ok to sign your name and write a check for whatever the cost? (logic being, there's checks here, there must be money!)

no??

hehe... whoops sorry, that's not you, that's my ex-husband....

there's no accounting for how the mind works.....

geesh.... you're not here, either, but hey... i LIKE YOU!!! so that's the difference and that about sums it up! LOL

Keth,
Ouch! I'll have you to know...I have a full head of hair and further more the buzz is on its way out. LMAO Thanks for the "cool write" even if it had qualifiers.

Nan,
You made my day! Bless you many times over. Thanks.

dor,
And you know what...I like you too! I mastered keeping more money in the bank then I spend but it's by the seat of my pants. LOL For all the years I balanced a check book it never saved me any money. I hate that. And another thing...I love your rambling responses so hope you don't mind mine! LOL

I could wallpaper a small room with my credit report and I'm one of the happiest people I know!  And...I know alot of well to do, miserable people.  Go figure.  If I've learned nothing else and I'm a real slow learner, trust me...it ain't about money!

Lori!
You're the best. Just cause I have to pay the bills doesn't mean I have to like it! LOL And thanks for the cool Daddy.

floria,
Was it just me...or did you call me Bill! LOL
Thanks.

Donna,
But they tell me you have to play to win! I hate that. LOL Thanks.
