Blue screen blank in front of me
My muse seems occupied
A word, a phrase, disjointed
Nothing flows from me today
Lack of concentration explained
As distraction stands behind
Hands that trace my face
Soft invitation in my ear
Kindles more pressing matters
A few more slow caresses
A few more warming words
The office is abandoned
In an almost indecent haste
Blue screen blinks on, undisturbed
Serenely ignores the sighs
Which carry clearly through the wall
As a different poetry is made
A poetry of lips and hands
And poems of passion reign

Intriguing picture and a unique juxtaposition of writer's block with other passion.  Fascinating read.

I know the feeling well, but you have written a beauty here

oooooooo, this is simply delicious!

The old writers block...I get it all the time too, except I can't seem to write about it when I get it, because I have it.
You have done a superb job, Pepper.....I can only imagine how good you must be without the writer's block!

Dear Pepper,
That kind of writer's block makes me jealous. Like the poem.

Imagine how you will write once you stop
feeling passion and start feeling words
again...Awww..what the heck...let the
passion flow...

Oh, how I wish this was the reason why I am blocked. Well done. Chris

Well done example of writer's block indeed, I have yet to succumb to that and maybe it is worthwhile after all! It is different and difference is a good thing in poetry.

I think we can all relate to this one.  Nicely done.
