The mists fall with the coming of night
only silence is heard in the streets,
hidden deep in the alley ways of his mind
his fear is of everything, and all that he meets.

He crawls into the darkest of corners
receiving no shelter from the torrid rain,
he can not run far, or fast enough
there is no way to escape his pain.

His eyes stare back obliviously
as deeper he crawls inside,
there is no refuge from the shame
no place for the homeless to hide.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Donna, this is so so sad and heartbreaking, my heart cries out to all the homeless and I pray with all my heart we can all reach out to them and give them our love and support! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, I join you in your prayers and I hope that we can help all these people with our love and hope! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my heart goes out to them all! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This is interesting, Donna.  I found this to be respective of human or animal.  When either is homeless, it must always seem cold and dismal to their spirit...

a good write...

Wonderfully dark,

Drenched and shivering he huddles,
Dazed and confused the mind muddles.

You know it just breaks my heart to see someone on the street,
cold, hungry.  I want to take them all home with me.

Sniffles... This was so sad and lonely!!! You caught the essence of it very well indeed! This was a fabulous read, but so sad... I'm a sucker for tearjerkers. ;o)
