It seems as now we're jonesing
man, they took it from WE.
We can still use the internet
but not to be used for poetry.
It's for official business only
or your supervisor they will tell,
cuz their all power hungry
their attitudes they try to sell.

Oh but we shall not deter
though now our time we'll be limiting
but I think we'll be jonesing at work
I can see it now, us fidgeting!
Not even over lunch break?
Well now this is a travisty.
How are we to stay calm
without our daily dose of poetry?
Oh these so called powers that be
never wrong, their always right
they might think they rule our days
but they don't control us in the night.
So now we'll have to do our reading
in the morning we'll retrieve
and hope it tides us over
until we can get home in the eve.

Then we'll absorb it all
the beauty of each written word
and all we'll say to them
is we think your totally absurd!

This clock just keeps on ticking
each moment slowly ticks away
until finally its time to leave
closure to another boring work day.
You see, they've caused us to find boredom
they've stopped the flow of creativity
now we muddle through our tasks
performing them with redundancy.

They call themselves the powers that be
but it seems to us that's only their opinions
you see as far as we're concerned
there's to many chiefs, and not enough of Indians!

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Donna, I'm so sorry to hear this, that is sooooooo rude, they should never be allowed to restrict you from your heart! (sigh) I would rebel if someone ever blocked me from poetry, for we're speaking from the heart and our thoughts and feelings matter so much! (big hugggssss) Oh Donna, we will all miss you so much, post whenever you can, for we all love you so much and are always here for you! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Gentle Spirit, I always wondered who "THEY" were.  Now you have given me a peek.  As long as you get your work done, why can't "they" leave you alone.  Great write,  ME

Gentle Spirit - ran into the gestapo at work about the internet. Even if I wanted to do some research it was out of bounds. My take on this is if they don't want one to use it, then take it off the computer!!!

A true dilemma indeed.  Are you close enough to your public library to have computer access during the lunch hour? Oh woe!  Whatever will we do if we cannot have our Gentle Spirit here, leaving us good words...?
