Working out of eyesight weakened by time.

Darn ole frames that twist so
For every time you put them on
They fit the face different
And so you reflect at different angles
To mirror the reflections made clear through them

In a pile in the corner lies the burial plot
Some carrying more power than others do
Some missing temples
Others that have twisted too far

Sometime the bridge has let go
Leaving a gap that tapes sometimes works
But creating another twist
That makes the eyes nervous

In between the scratches
You seek out the truth
In smudges of life
You keep cleaning them
For a better view

So as the pile grows larger
They sometimes merge in another look
Recycled out of need to see
Out of strained eyes

So pile I will keep you
In the graveyard of my sight
To rise some day
In some sort of art
For others to see
How abused my mind’s eyes where

I thought this was really cool! I can relate to this. I'm practically blind without my glasses...lol. This was great!

I am so nearsighted that if I didn't have my contacts
in I would see nothing...so I can relate to this.

D you have no idea how I enjoyed this. Sounds so much like my husband and his "pile" of old glasses all taped up that he won't throw out. Must be a man thing. I mean I pay like 300.00 for mine. LOL floria
