I woke this morning to the most awesome sight.
You....lying there...looking at me...smiling so.

My sleep laden eyes caressed by this gift.
My heart awoken by your tender touch, given.
Letting my dreams again take me away to see
you smiling there, but this time among clouds.

I remember this smile from decades ago, not changed.
Still the same vim and vigor, the vitality and passion.
The bluest eyes that said how you love me, trust me.
Surrendering yourself to my comfort, warmth, care.

I have watched your sleep countless times, still in awe.
Your breathing so sure, peace flowing from your soul.
I cannot imagine ever letting you go, ever not seeing.
We have shared much of life, good and bad, as one.

I still desire you as much now as I ever have, maybe more.
Though my body no longer responds as it did,
my mind and my yearning peak as they did during those days.
Days of countless unions, endless sighs, shuddering so.

You always responded with passion, with such emotion.
I smiled and glowed so as you and I peaked in that joy.
I always put you first, your needs more than mine.
But you always made me feel I was in time with you.
We were one, we still are.  I want it no other way.

This is absolutely beautiful. *BIG WARM SMILE* I love the emotion you carry through with this. It is always good to feel this way about someone.

Lady in White....thank you for your comment.
I like doing this because it reinforces my
true feelings of my wife.  Sometimes we need
to take that moment and express it again.
She deserves that.

SOOOOOO Beautiful!! I hope to one day find a love that is pure and true like yours. Your writing melts my heart, but makes me realize I'm to never give up my search for true happiness, for there are men out there just waiting for someone to share the many emotions our hearts can take us through.
Beautiful work!! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and fulfilling love with us....

Lewisone....I am not a perfect man,  just a
man that is trying...and learning how
to love a lady that has been a part of my
life for a long time.  Any step upward far
exceeds one step backwards...

Happy you enjoyed this...and yes..there are
men out there who can give you what you feel
so much should be part of you...And I am
sure you deserve just that.

Barry, of everything you have written to share with us thus far, this one lets us look deeper into that intimate part of your soul more than any other.
Well done my friend.
Hugs, Nancy.
