As The Wind Blows

I take this moment
to step back into the forest
to the place where love
both begins and ends.

I listen to the wind
blowing through the trees
as it shakes loose
all the dead now falling leaves.

As the wind
continues to blow
traces of love
go with the flow.

Some lovers desperately
cling to the tree branches
determined to never
let love go.

I wonder if my love
is strong enough
to enable it to
hold on and grow.

I feel as if
I will soon know
as sure as
the wind blows.

James,

I can almost see the trees and tumbling leaves. A wonderful picture you paint with your words

That sure is the truth! The tree branches sometimes give way and break.

Very, very well written James.  Got a poem titled "As The Wind Blows" my self (or similar - would have to look it up) but it cannot touch this one!

This wonderful James, sorry I haven't been around much these days to catch your work.  After reading this I remembered why I so enjoy it.
