For my first poem here...I would like to thank Marge for the challenge

Across a field of lilacs spread
Where lovers footprints dared to tread
Not has stirred but the breeziness of spring
In frozen winter the scent whispers lean
Upon my heart you dripped the pastels
Of lavender blossoms burst and swelled
I taste the perfumed words as well
My new blooming tears not but a wail
For to keep your painful path from my eyes
Is to bind my heart with silken ties
And cease my soul to mend with yours
As my love does never tiptoe towards
But rather remains constant as spring times youth
Carressing with tender blossoms of truth
To push me to the surface to breathe
While you swirl in depths enwreathed
Is more than words poetically said
Across a field of lilacs spread...
