Our bed's become a battleground
A cold war fought with turned backs
And barely civil goodnights
Dreams and hopes like scattered casualties
You've drawn a line I dont know how to cross
Or even if I want to cross
The wounds cut to deep
And Im sorry wont heal them this time
Are we too far gone?
Have we forgotten the love that we both still feel?
The love that used to burn like the sun
What will it take
To cross the line
Just one step
One touch
One word??
Would you be willing?
Would you make the first move?
Or will pride win the battle?

Our bed's become a battleground
A wasteland of broken dreams

I understand every word of this.  It is a line that taunts and tempts at the same time.  Truly hope your battle ends with a mutual surrender and goodnight kiss.

A reminder that love is not always everything beautiful...sometimes it takes a softening of the heart and a return to the fine art of appreciation...James

Ouch ... I feel every word of this piece.  Love isn't all about roses and kisses and stars ... it's also about growing together and working out differences and learning to become closer despite the "faults" of the other person.  I hope your battle ends in peace, and that everything works out in the end.

Oh this is so sad Paula. This is the other face of love, the face no one wants to visit. I wish you strength and peace, whatever the end result may be.

Sweetheart, make it a foxhole and snuggle in, people tend to come together in a foxhole, if you now what I mean
