To George

There's a void in the heavens this evening,
A star that was there, flickered out,
A star unassuming in stature,
But a star nonetheless there's no doubt,
You touched many a heart with your music,
And many a soul with your song,
But never forgot your beginnings
The city to which you belong,
The breeze from the Mersey is colder
Knowing that you've passed away,
The world is much darker without you,
There isn't much more I can say,
Except, here's to you mate, we'll miss you,
Be at ease in your blessed release,
With your music we'll never forget you,
Here's a prayer from us all, rest in peace.

To George Harrison, a talent, a gentleman and a true scouser. He will be sadly missed.

Olias.

This is a moving tribute to a great man.
When I heard the news this song he wrote appeared in my head and it has not left....
"My Sweet Lord".....

Beautiful, you did him justice here. My only other comment, is perhaps there will actually be a brighter star in the heavens tonight.

Thank you. I woke up not feeling well this morning from a head cold, and sat down to read the news on the net. I stared at the screen in disbelief and sadness. George was always my fav of the Beatles. I always saw him as a shining star of LOVE and PEACE, and also appreciated his quiet sense of humor. You have written a very loving tribute. My thoughts are with his family and close friends today, and all those whose hearts were touched by this special loving soul.

Thank you all for your kind comments, for a man as inspirational in death as he was in life. I'm sure our thoughts are with his family, the legacy of his music will far out live us all.

Regards to you all
Olias.
