Near golden sunsets

0 posted 2001-10-06 03:08 AM

It sticks to my eyes with plenipotent madness,
This undulating disposition between
Moon and sun.

Touch me quickly
Dissect me slowly
Enthrall me softly
Control me, know me

Hold me down as I writhe in titillating torment
Splaying the parched sheets under a razor sharp pen.
Pull me up after I howl my last scream,
Breathing quietly from nine through one.
Kiss me quickly before I still hate you;
Take me hie from this vengeful sun.

Four long years in outlawed existence
Five long minutes of unloved truth
Nine long seconds of disproportioned beauty
And one short death, unrealistic youth.

It plays with my mind in omnipotent success
Twisting in orbit between
Nine and one.

Speak me dazedly
Hear me lazily
I’ll show you crazily
And kill you lusciously

Watch the moon set slyly amid trees and salt
And the stars dazzle the eyes of the sun.
North is pointing south tonight
Orion’s lost his prey
Life spun me in circles tonight
I’m afraid I’ve lost my way.

You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep. -- Navajo Proverb

You are not lost.
You simply misplaced your compass.
When you find it,
You will once again be on the pathway
and follow your true star.

And it really is true, love is the seventh wave (Sting). We just haven't all been hit by it yet.

You know that this is wonderful, don't you? Intensity and a mixture of other things equally as enthralling, Sweetness. I'm always drawn in by your writing.

Very intruguing write, Intruder.  Each time I read it through something else poops out at me.  Nicely done.

This is an amazingly powerful write. Such imagery, such raw emotion. Brilliant, brilliant piece

I'll have to read this a few more times through, but it's deep and raw. It sounds like the echo of my mind at night when I'm trying to put the pieces together.  Good job, this is a piece to contemplate for sure.

Thanks
