The Retiring, Write

She hid behind full skirted thoughts
veiled her words of silken sheen
allowed bravado flight, as if caught
behind irises of jade gone green

beneath the skim of pinkened flesh
below the pulse of blue vein
imagery would of’times thrash
as stray words were found again

they skipped along like russet leaves
and played along the streams
then scampered back up her crimson sleeves
until she sought night’s dream

timid though she was in shy
her heart heard a mighty song
so she’d only sing to Sky
and heard it thunder along

sometimes Wind would hear her hum
her valleys would echo back
and lo, then her Heart would strum
as word upon word she would stack

for slowly in her quiet reserve
she allowed her truths to flow
as she wrote in practiced curve
all that was vital for him to know

for in her adept, gentle way
her whispers were songs’ afford
as her mirth lit up her say
resounding like harp’s sweet chord

Lovely, enchantingly beautiful.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

and we are ever so glad she "stacks those words" in the light where we too can enjoy them...
and this? ... this is deeeelightful
You know I love this one Lady....
yes..you know.......

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.
