Come out with me and play
awake the autumn day!
Oh! I will be once more
the woman you adore!
A spirit covered pure
in touch of your allure.
We'll glide for just a time
within our flow of rhyme.

My heart and soul moves to and fro
to fill with trust from long ago;
as I hold onto to make believe
and sway to wind that fairies breathe!

Oh play with me throughout the day
and push my doubts and tears away.

Yes, I will be a child again
until the woman calls you in.

For then your arms return the feel
of afterglow from love so real.

Well, how my few lines could have inspired such a beautiful dream of a day, I don't know.  But thank you for finding them inspiring.  Once again, your choice of artwork is perfection.  And your words do capture those carefree days of early fall.  I hope it's as beautiful in your world today as it is here.  Now...go outside and swing!

This is a really refreshing poem to read in this particular time in our world. Ah to always have the innocence of a child. Great work.

Mitnitesun: Yes, that’s how I felt! thank you

Nancy, it is a wonderful memory, thank you for reading.

Charisma, appreciate that, thank you!

Duncan, and thank you so much for lighting the memory.
It just made me feel good, you know!  The way I used to feel, happy and free.

James Michael, funny how a poem can remind us of songs. Thank you
for replying.

Dawn, yes, right now, it’s important to find joy and in that, we
get through. Thank you for reading.
