We sleep alone, me in my bed,
and you, dear one, inside your head.
Or do you, Love, in the night
cuddle close, warm and tight
beside his form with the thought
that he alone is all you’ve got?
Or do you, precious one of mine,
lay awake until the time
you have me near, when in a heap,
you truly rest and fall asleep?
