The wind
Which whipped tree tops,
Scattered trash,
And picked up grains
Of sand to pummel
Unsuspecting eyes
Has subsided.

No longer gale force,
It has turned, and now,
From the north
It brings colder
Times.

Grabbing a sweater,
Knitted over time,
I bundle myself
And add a layer
Of protection

at first I was thinking you'd visited my town, but I really think there's something besides the weather being spoken of here...right? It's powerfully done of weather or emotions over life's gifts/tragedies/love/pain.

I thought this was very well done....I like the description...I saw mainly the weather but I guess I need to learn to look further into poetry, got that just from reading the other replies....This is very neat!
