Listening to every heart

empathy

what poet
has not thought
to pick flowers
pray for peace
linger in showers
of loving rain

what poet
has not shown regret
or has written
thoughts of fret
as a soldier’s
life has lain

and who
has not sung
as liberty,
pealed and rung
o’er the land
of the free

what poet
will not stand
to defend
all that is grand
so as to write
poetry…

dear friends…oftentimes we think our world is so large, that perhaps only we at PiP know the truth and the horror of the happenings around us…

not so…

I share with you this link….knowing that an otherwise conservative man would also defend this, our United States…

quote:
(Rod said)Practice brotherhood. I’ve said it often; we’re all we’ve got. We are all one big family and you are your brother’s keeper.

thank you for this K...you always offer us another view...a postive outlook...
a ray of light...
once again..you live up to your name
(and you do it with class)

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you

We are family...I got all my sisters and me (and brothers too), and we shall write our hearts out until we feel better, plain and simple. Writing is the best pain killer I know of

I hope that all poets will stand to defend all that is grand. . .
