     Time Moves On

Things never change
Yet they are always changing
        Moments played out
                        On a stage
                        Each caressing
                        The one before and after

                        Time moves on
And us with it
But are we sent
Or are we brought
In the speed of time
We are surely caught

Time passes
It is impossible to say
What is now because
As soon as we identify it
It is gone

Moment by moment
We receive what we must
And keep what we will
Each moment is etched
And is now still

Time refreshed
Renewed with laughter
Renewed with dreams
Time on parade
Time an escapade
        Each new day
                        Is like a blank page
Or an empty stage
                        It’s ready to be played

I like the format and breaks, however, you ask for comments...

read aloud, and perhaps you will redefine your breaks a bit...

When I pasted it in it got all chopped up. I tried to repair it but this was the best I could do.

Lots of good things to contemplate here, Dan. I especially like the stanza:

Time passes
It is impossible to say
What is now because
As soon as we identify it
It is gone

This is a very powerful realization and leaves one wondering what IS a moment, afterall?

Hi I was just about to say the same thing as Mark! That stanza is one I have so often contemplated. I like this much!
