Thank you, Sweet Warrior for the dance of muses tonight.  Thank you also for your strength and helping me keep faith in mine.

The black of night, sparkled with light
only such, could put worries to flight
a warm hand clasps, with fingers soft,
a beckoning smile send spirits aloft.

Stars that sparkle call my name.
Wind enamored makes me tame.
Your warm hands that find me lost
hold my boat however tossed.

To be for you is all I ask,
awaking memories of distant past.
Ask me not, of what I see,
from those days back in eternity

I will  not ask, but I will gently steal
this warrior's shoulder on which to heal.
So hold this head of mine tonight.
Forget the torture of yesternight.

To hold you close in this starry night,
Allowing your soul return to light.
You know the feel, it was as before,
In long ago ages, beyond shadows door.

My sweet, you held me even then,
Gave patient smiles for the gentlemen,
That asked a princess for a dance,
While I, your love, so often glanced.

As guardian I watched to keep from harm,
You stole my heart when you took my arm.
But never could I let you see
For a princess and a warrior could not be.

Dear sir, you did not hide it well,
For from your eyes your love did swell.
Although enrapt in your adoration
A dutiful princess was a slave to station.

Then the flight to foreign shores,
Caste was gone forevermore.
Propriety was kept till plain to see,
There could be no returning to the land of thee.

But in your memory lies my hand
Caressing there with time's old sand.
Think of me in the evening's caress,
As love smiles fond with agelessness.

With a shooting star across the sky,
The past was gone with a sigh.
Was it a dream the caress had brought?
It was too real, a timeless sought.

One more time the breeze commanded
As she lifted her head, a kiss had landed.
For gentle love of long ago,
Did on her cheek his kiss bestow.

Don't gain my affections then cover my eyes. Don't sweep me off my feet then fail to catch me before I hit the floor.
