This bed
wide and empty
without you by my side
I toss and turn
failing to feel your warmth
You pillow
it claims you
without answers
I caress it
and smell you essence
which clings to it
My love
wants only you
it cries tears
in desperation
hoping to bring you back
but all the while
you stay away
Our room
so shallow
it misses your touch
it remains dark
expecting you
in order to shine
And I
want to believe you
And I
want to tell you
"I love you"
And I
want you back
without conditions.

The intimate, self-effacing revelations found only in a half empty bed.  This is very effective.

The other side of the bed seems the other side of the world when it's empty.  Loneliness has a way of creeping into everything when you miss someone. I hope you get her back in your life. Very well expressed.

    So strkingly painful.. I can feel your pain so easily. Very well done.. wonderful expression.  Hopefully writing it out help ease some of the pain.
