Love me Like There is no Tomorrow

Remember when we were new
you loved me with freckles and pale skin
in the splash of discovery
you dripped your blond laughter into my desperate
and I curved around your enthusiasm
throwing away buckets of gone by
for you loved me like there was no yesterday.

We have become a cloth now
intricate and fragile with time
threaded with this dawn and dusk
where we have built trust

I can hear you playing in my head
long after together has bathed us
and even when I sleep I reach across the gorge
that takes you flying somewhere else
and touch your bruised remember
that sleeps with us

Cumbersome life weighs on our wings now
and takes our wonder like a soft blue egg
and threatens to just let it lay
in chambers where no joy is made
and the wings beat us down to cower
in the fear of how

Love me like there is no tomorrow
darling lock me into seasons spring
whisper your breathe on curving ever
where the circle in our ring
begins and ends

Beautiful poem Martie.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Martie - this poem was second best to feeling that new baby's bottom for the very first time!  Now I am not going to explain that to you, I am going to wait until you experience that feeling and then you will know just how absolutely wonderful this poetry was!

"you dripped your blond laughter into my desperate
and I curved around your enthusiasm
throwing away buckets of gone by
for you loved me like there was no yesterday."

What a wonderful start love prepares for us all! As the seasons pass our perspective changes and our goals run astray but are always a form of new!

"Love me like there is no tomorrow
darling lock me into seasons spring
whisper your breathe on curving ever
where the circle in our ring
               begins and ends"

This clever ending is a delight to the reader as he /she recalls and wishes upon yesterday!

Wonderful writing!!    As usual!!
