Time, the paradox of living,
two separate entities always giving.
This is time, making us grow,
and then the twin, moving so very slow.
Years clip by after a certain age,
leaving to wonder where went the days.

A look in the mirror shows time went by,
chicks in the nest began to fly.
Your mind cries out, this isn’t true,
I only feel, a young twenty two.
A blessing and a curse, all the same,
feeling one age, yet knowing the game.

Live life large before too late,
don’t dump your plans at tomorrow’s gate.
Tomorrow becomes the past too fast,
leaving without memories wanted to last.
The ever clicking time, and timeless twin,
give us the grace to go once again.

Logan...you have miles to go before you sleep and much MORE wisdom to share before time catches up with you....
and isnt it you whos always saying things like...what passes always comes back around..and so on
love the cadence and poetic truths in this
and the twin-time metaphor
very cool write poet of the gentle wind

I know no one is to blame
In time youll feel strength when you call my name
I know Ill never hold you again
And I know Ill never be the same

Logan--Time, so fickle is precious, isn't it...and your mirror only sees what you want it to..I see a lovely man with much spirit and strength.

Somehow you always know what's on my mind...
tears here. And wisdom is ageless---smile--like YOU.

Logan this is very good.

I have thought this so many times, you said it so well.

Yanno, I never wear a watch!  Never.  I do look at a clock to be on time however when I have to but time is something I have plenty of and I use every second therefore I am ready for your last two lines:

"The ever clicking time, and timeless twin,
give us the grace to go once again."

Then I get to do this all over again, now how wonderful is time then?  Great poem Logan!

*sigh* Well..I admit. I haven't read this yet, but I AM printing it. I just feel it needs more attention, so here ya go, Sweet One.
I'm working on a poem you inspired with your very sweet e-mail the other day. You make me smile, yanno? Thanks. You are missed also.

Excellent advice as always, my friend.  Yes, tomorrow is perhaps the key.
