Your Majesty, You have slain that which Loved Me!
That which gave me light in turret high
As I gaze out into the heavens, I see not
A star marked bright for me, No
I have been smothered out and lay waste
In the Eastern sky, glimmering no more
And you took it upon yourself to see
That I was cinder, in your arms of hate
For your jealous soul cannot love
It cannot give to me the mornings
Nor can it guide me through my nights
Lonely you are, and lonely you will die!
I shall love no other, and I will fade, wither
For He, that brought to me, The Rose
Of Love that Bloomed Round the Sun!
Of Passion that Dewed the earth, Quinched
He that guilded Not the freest of me
Hath made me chained to his soul, forever
I belong to the thorns of sorrow now
So please, Close up the iron doors forever
Lest I may go through and be grazed upon
By the wicked beast you call love
I will not pasture your feed
Let me die, Here with the Rose of my Love
Let us both fall faint to dusty remains
For I hate not, the looks of you
I pity you, Your Majesty, for You will be the one
Who searches the crevices for my Memory
And I will have known the Truth of Love.
And You will have known Insanity
From breathing , My Dust.

Inspired by Catalinamoon: I hope you don't think this was too dark. I had to write what I felt.
Sincerly,
Regina

Regina
This was absolutely stunning, I loved every word.  I had visions of another pair of star-crossed lovers as I read this - Romeo & Juliet.  Take care......Sue

Dear Regina, you write with such passion, as you take us through the deepest of love and  the pity upon a soul of hate. You hold love as true in your heart as your passion for the writen word.

Loved this piece.

The smoldered soul of the poison of posession, the total toll of jealousy. This write uniquely shows the price of loneliness paid by both.

My goodness, this is spectacular, and not too dark at all. That is exactly the way I feel towards the "king". If you have been to my website, read the anger page, its a lot like this. In fact, may I use it on there, it is so appropriate. (with your name of course as writer)
