Goodnight, goodnight, sweet one,
it’s time to go to bed.
How may kisses does it take
while you can still hold up your head?
I’ll sing you one more lullaby
with words and tune unclear,
leaning as close as I can
to whisper it in your ear.
With your eyes half closed
and your smile that says so much,
I know you’re in a far off land
full of dreams and such.

Sweet dreams, my sweet one

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

A sweet song for a sweet child I am sure.

Maeve, Sven and Sue, thank you, glad you liked it

Parker, close your eyes and I'll try and sing it for you.

Ok guys! honest opinion time please...should the second and third stanza be reversed? I'm not sure if they would sound better that way.

Well, I think it works both ways... as long as your whispering it in my ear...
