This will feel so very strange
you not being here anymore,
no more good morning dear
or smile when I walk in the door.
Maybe this will work for the best
now that you've gone your own way
when the sun comes up tomorrow
it will shine on a brand new day.
Now each and every day will seem
so very different, yes it's true
and I will sit back and smile
and my thoughts will drift away~
to you.
