Hush, hush, Mommy’s not mad It’s just that Daddy made her sad That’s not your “Auntie” he kissed goodnight But don’t you worry. We’ll be all right. No honey-bun we’re not moving away Daddy is going somewhere else to play Kiss him good-bye you’ll see him soon (Like when diamonds fall from the moon). No officer, I don’t know where he could be We always were so very happy Sweetie-pie get away from the cement I’m sorry sir, I don’t know where he went. Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
