Ten days left
Before those days resume
Old faces to remember
And new ones for my eyes to consume.

Nine days left
Before we start again
New teachers, new classes,
New races to win.

Eight days left
Until we go back
Same old place
New books to pack.

Seven days left
Til summer’s gone
Harder tasks
With the rising of each dawn.

Six days left
Six days to prepare
Waiting for the tests
And see how we’ll fare.

Five days left
Only five more to go
What stories we will tell
What things will show.

Four days left
Less than a week
Will I learn the things this year
That I always seek?

Three days left
Growing closer now
Until the final hour
When they start to show us how.

Two days left
Only two more
Can it be so short a time,
Til I stand before that double-door?

One day left
Dread passing to life
School will come
With or without strife.

Aww I'm sorry! lol I liked the poem, though. Reminds me about how happy I should be that I still have another month and a half left of summer... Anyway, not trying to make you jealous. lol Enjoy the last days while you can!

University starts Aug. 29th for me.....I'm cool cuz I got off highschool May 4th...Oh yea!!
Anyhow, great job on this one School boy.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Classes start Aug 20th for me. Hehehe lucky me though...second year of college...and I have the greatest schedule...Three days a week!!! I feel ya though...great description and good luck!

Do I really feel that way? No person in their right mind wants to give up summer to go back through the dredges of school. But it'll be cool to see my friends again.

Only things I'll miss is having the time to work constantly on poems, websites, and the such, as well as getting to know you guys here at PIP better. My schedule's kinda tough this year, especially considering I'll have to have a job to pay for gas and insurance this year.

Heh..plus I'll miss getting to talk to Jessica from 12:00pm to 1:00am near about solid.

Cute poem, although I'd have to say it brings back memories of school and 6am mornings...*shudder* I'm not a morning person.
I have orientation Sept.4...which is pointless because that's when we get our lockers and stuff...
