When I think of you
The future gives me hope
I dream to have another chance
To make my life worth living

To find a love worth giving
Romance that springs anew
A clean slate to plan upon
Something we both created

The bond t’which we’ve been fated
Finding ourselves in one another
Our peace and love to carry on
Once we’ve made our mark

When it is time to disembark
Leaving our mark to find
The same true love as we have
To fulfill another’s life

A word is not unlike a knife
In the way that it can hurt
One lesson that I hope we teach
To our gift from God above

And to shower them with love
Appreciated for the chance to be
Shapers of a future with hope
And to have each other too

Love one another-let God do the worrying,
Rodney

Rodney it was the title that caught my attention. Curious to see the Irish connection, whuch I could not find any where else in the poem. What I found instead was a beautiful poem full of yearning and love.

"difference between love and comfortis that comfort's more reliable and true
Brutal and mocking but always therea crutch for enmity's saddest glare"

===========
I, too, was attracted by the title and found no connection therewith.

I think most of us would take a clean slate in a New York minute

Especially one that was co-created.

It's beautiful!

Sorry for the somewhat misleading title. But my interest and subject of the poem is Irish...so it was in deference to her...although we Irish still have a yearning for love and happiness, do we not?

Love one another-let God do the worrying,
