Lost in Her

As I read my mail
I wonder what any female
Could see in me
After all I am past my prime
To some it is a crime
To me it’s a fact of life
As I look toward the New Year
I just wonder,
What she would do if
I told her that I could get lost in her
That she was on my mind
Almost all the time
I wonder what she would do
If she knew what was on my mind
I get lost in her eyes
So soft and gentle
Her smile is always
So warm and enticing
When she’s not on my mind
I feel so alone
I find it easier to think about her
Than to try to forget her
I just wonder
If I cross her mind
As often as she does mine
I have found that
I would like to spend time with her
Just holding her
As I would making love to her
Oh…. how I wish I knew
What she would do
If I told her
I could get lost in her too

Lost in someone requres a journey, and I trust you are enjoying the path to understanding love, and its rewards. Very nice poetry Alan, I really enjoyed this one, and I hope your lady did too.
