I remember that night we spent
just sitting on the front porch,
doing nothing in particular,
just talking, laughing,
and dreaming under the stars.

I can still feel the warm air
blow gentle across my face
as you kissed my cheek.

We were filled with such
a happiness, and your words......
they could not come quick enough
for me to listen, as you weaved
your stories of life.

With time we became
as two hearts
beating in
synchronized tune
to only each other.

Then suddenly
the dream,
the laughter,
the stars grew dim

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and yet
~ still~
my heart
will not STOP believing
in you
On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
Beautifully written.
Such a happy start, yet such a sad ending, but that's life I guess.
Thank you.
Gentle Spirit,
        I smiled as I read this. I think my favorite lines were:
"We were filled with such
a happiness, and your words......
they could not come quick enough
for me to listen, as you weaved
your stories of life."
It just brings back so many memories of different times.  To bad this poem had to end so sadly
Gentle Spirit,
This reminded me so much of a few memories I have.  This is such a pretty poem, just wish the ending wasn't so sad.  Take care and peace to you.
