I was a girl in skin, spotted.
Papered words, just litter, and truth.
Simply me on fiber, in pieces the same.
Stretching thoughts from tangles,
spreading sorrow and anger and love.

I was standing on tiptoes, then crashing.
Grabbing hold of purple - too late.
Setting brushes on canvas for resting.
And stories to hell for their wear.
I was a bad poet girl - who fell.
I was soiling screens and keypads,
I was strangling the reality for all to see.

I am paper. And you are hands - tired.
Words across, and guilt for them.
I am paying. For truth.
For the fear of you never understanding.
They were only letters - formed.
Only secrets exposed? What coarse actions!
What very broken ways, to be.

I was off balance, in an action scene.
I was digits on display.
My words, your truth unheard.
The sin surrounding sunlight - the ache.
And a bad poet girl - who fell.
Who drowned in what was left to her.
Who torched the silence with word.
And for that,...I am sorry.

A... NEVER apologize for your poetry...
regardless of who cant understand its reasons or meanings...
or those who dont want to read the truth of your pain....
Your words, your expressions...your release of emotion ...you NEED to write to heal..
never apologize for them...
but I understand the point you are trying to make here...and I think I know where this is coming from...
and obvioulsy this poem effected me and that is yet more proof of the gift of your writing...
and this is a powerful and intense piece of work...and I'll hush now and go read it again..
for there is much to see here...
Your an amazing poet A and no one can take that from you.

Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

You know, Truth always exacts a price but in the end, it's always one worth paying.  I have to echo the previous WOW.  This is excellent.  The emotion cariies well throughout the entire piece.  Beautifully written piece.

I have to echo everyone's thoughts here NEVER APOLOGISE for your poetry. It is your art form and it is something that you are very talented at, be proud of your pen and your words. And take a standing ovation for this one oh "wonderous poetry girl".

You always, blow me away miss a--and I only object to your use of two words...bad and poet should never appear in the same line of a poem of yours... How I envy your talent!

Am I wrong? It doesn't seem like you're apologizing for your poetry. You could be. I'd like to say what I thought I got out of this, but it annoys writers sometimes to be read in the wrong way.   Well...at any rate, this is certainly a very well done and well expressed poem. I enjoyed it.

WOW, I wish I had your talent.
How can you say sorry if what you write is what you feel? No one should ever say sorry after writing such beautiful peace.

SF...You, my dear friend, have nothing to apologize for to anyone.  Remember that.  You never cease to amaze me with the depth of your writing.  I hope all is well.  Talk soon, ok?  Take care.

funny, I don't feel that you're apologizing for your poetry either. . .

I feel that you're taking a stand and that if anyone doesn't like it. . . too bad for them. . . you will write what you will write and that's that. . .

this is superb SpitFire. . .it's a fine example of free verse. . .

Fantastic work, SpitFire.

I hear you, too. It's okay. A learning experience, as we reign our world back in
to where we can control it. And if the words
this person you trusted were betrayed, then shame on him or her.

Peace.
