Soft petals of moonlight drifting through night blacken limbs,
shimmering light, fading to shadows, where it did begin.
Memories drift on soft breaths of wind sighing against my face,
wishing time would recede and all would be in place.
To return for only this night if only once more it could,
again to be together in this small enchanted wood

You held my hand so tenderly with delicate fingertips,
smiling so sweetly before the kiss from honeyed lips.
We knew it would last forever and yea, even a day more,
way too young to realize what the fates could have in store.
Your mistakes, my mistakes, maybe nobodies was at blame,
everything drifted, muddled, and nothing was the same.

I looked the small grove over, muted in shades of black and grays,
the anniversary of when we pledged to love, through all our very days.
I knew where we walked hand in hand, then holding in close embrace,
the glow of the moon, radiating against her youthful face.
With a sigh, from within, I turned to walk away, nothing left to see,
only to find her standing there, with open arms for me.

Logan~
Like ... you left NOTHING out of this piece !

The glow of moon, soft gentle breeze,
a melted kiss, the sway of trees.
*Sighs* of sweet realize
when she returned to thee.

Can you tell that I like it ?
I do !

This was so well done, and a keeper in my books, I printed it for my little folder, and will read it again, and again, thanks Logan.
