Inside shadow of vanished light
Appear silhouettes of Passion's Gallery
Captured by enchanting anthology
Eloquent poetry of heartfelt writes

so comes the night upon
the halls of the Gallery
new portraits hang on the walls
inspired by words of poets
that speak to his heart
but yet,
          one more hole remains
one more portrait to be painted
                              one more poet to show

he walks down to his workshop
there, the empty canvases surround him,
save this one on the desk before him
he speaks,
"Poet!
your face I may not see
yet in your words
a soul revealed to me

unto my canvas I draw the night
slience of daylight gathers clouds
in a chambered soul"

his dreams fill with words and phrases
swirl from shadows of moonlight
pool at his feet, begging him to write

while bits are sped and shuffled
thru endless wires
unexplored thoughts
collide and intermingle
in visions yet to be formulated

a whirlwind of emotions
finger-printed on his paper
spreading its glory this moment,
right now

"Poet!" he speaks again to the shadows
"A mystery you remain to my soul
Though the words from your pen
Daily, effortlessly roll"

from the shadows, the vision appears
in shades of gold and emerald
and so, I begin to write
There is no breath in yesterday
No movement in life
Only this image stained upon the pages
of my mind

but, as the vision comes, so too does sleep
all too quickly the vision fades
was it a vision of two?

A fragrance from my past penetrates my sleep
The smoke from the dying candle slid across the canvas
Making the features soften, so much I strain to see

Dreamcast shadows
          visions in the night
Faces unclear
          illuminated by their words

the vision comes to me in dreams
speaking
"Painter, our portrait is not ready yet to
be painted
so for now, sleep and dream"

So tired, he lies among the worn-down tools of art
He lies among the finished portraits scattered on the floor
As his eyes close, he sees visions of what the Dawn shall bring
From his fingers shall come words of art, portraits born once more

The Gallery is now closed once again

Yes, again my friends, the Gallery is closed, but my hope is that it shall live forever in the minds and the hearts of those that are shown here.  And that, in some small way, it will inspire both them and you, the reader, to new heights of inspiration.

Thanks to all the poets that were featured in this Second Series, you are all wonderful people, poets, and friends. . . and I thank you all for letting me have the honor of sharing with you, and to have you share with me as well.

Thank you again. . .

Once you wrote in an answer to me that what you write is just words. Well, this only proves that words need a master to put them together to become a masterpiece. Thank you for letting me be a part of your plan.
