Between the Lines

Illusions of You

A fine line I walk,
teetering on the edge,
memories scraping the softness
of external thoughts.

A fine line I write,
words clinging to either side
and in between, time being
my deadline.

Full Moon of  morning,
pressing these thoughts wearing thin,
spilling over
onto pages of blue.

Reality charms, yet dreams
are withering on sidelines,
unrealized,
to be left echoing in chambers;
lingering left-overs,
tabled before you.

Hungering for truth,
tormented by love,
the mind corners, bending,
lines intersecting, piercing,
dividing a heart,
once coated by velvet words,
peeling back
exposing a journey's end.

No looking back, as season's change
fading into illusions of you.
Edges unclear, lost between lines
the hourglass tilts
and for just a moment,
time stands still.

~Wynter

It's no journey's end for you sweetheart when you can write like this.......

                "Hungering for truth,
                 tormented by love,
                 the mind corners, bending,
                 lines intersecting, piercing,
                 dividing a heart,
                 once coated by velvet words,
                 peeling back
                 exposing a journey's end.

No looking back, as season's change
                 fading into illusions of you.
                 Edges unclear, lost between lines
                 the hourglass tilts
                 and for just a moment,
                 time stands still."

Time stands still until you write another poem from the heart and then it becomes alive again with your creative juices flowing....It may not be the total answer but it's the greatest outlet a talented person like yourself can ever have....the rest will fall into place!!      Have a nice day!!

Maureen, there have been many times this year that I wish time would, indeed stand still. Be well...
