Stop love
stop love
stop love

Weak against the path to be
For the laboring we must coil in madness,
Justifying tears and the careless tossed waves,
of an old and aged theme.
I speak not
for I never wanted it to end this way.
I breath not,
for I never asked for such life to be infused.
I ask not
For I never realized how hard the fall would be.

Oh stop, you lowly growling thing of my mind,
Crouched in corners awaiting for my will to falter again.
You the shadow that always knew I wasn't happy,
Waiting for me there,
Oh how I despise the dark path you tread,
and the whispers in my ear along the way.
I can feel your claws tearing at my soul,
and know you for what you are now,
my demon and your followers,
made a band so deceitfully joyous,
that it called to the mountains to be heard.
But I know you for what you are now,
while you try to tear me down,
attempting the deconstruction of my life,
and fast forward the decomposition of my heart.
You
would build it again in your honor I'm sure,
as a tribute to your loveless pain filled core,
and I will not let you.
I choose
this day
to grasp to my hope.
I will snap your long malicious claws that have a hold on my faith in happiness.
One by one I'll pluck them out and smile at you,
asking how much worse one sting of pain hurts than the other.
Let me go for I will smile!
Release me here and I will know!
And if I never gain what I truly want,
Then I will make a way to be content with even that.
This I declare before all the sun and sky,
And to all of hell where you dwell.
Realease my spirit,
For it was never mine to let you trick me into giving.

WOW!!! A very sad but powerful poem indeed! I am so sorry you feel this way, for it breaks my heart to see such a loving and talented poetess you are hurt by this dimming love. My heart cries out to you and I pray this love heals or you find new true love to hang onto. I know how it must feel to escape being a slow-moving triumph, but it will be an instant jolly triumph when you again feel worthy love. Keep the faith! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

To stop love, is to stop living, come back to the side of the mountain, as you reached the peaks of happiness and the valley of despair. We live on neither of those, as you know, so remember the song...gentle smile

we cannot stop loving. . . no matter what love brings, we cannot stop. . . it is a part of us. . . it makes us live, makes us breathe. . .

I feel the pain in this one. . . excellent. . .

this is the most moving verse I've read in a long time, Jenn.

Kathleen Blake

"When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey."
