from the crease of dawn she sprang
splashing feet in shallow puddles
wearing springtime yellow she dances
until her face turns into daylight

When I return home she greets me
with a crushing hug and a kiss
her smiles lighting up the evening
like a million swirling fireflies

this is my daughter
she completes my life

A real man

kisses his children goodnight

What lovely verse to write of for your little one!

It is a love like no other, isn't it?  You've captured that well.

Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
