Confessions of a Tortured Heart

I need her more then she needs me.
That seems to create an atmosphere
of passivity.
If only these two hearts
felt the need to desire
within the same degree.
Then I would shine
as bright in her eyes
as she now shines for me.
And that would release
this burden from my heart
and tend to set me free.

It's always torture when one loves more than the other... but we just keep stepping up for more. *S* Well done!

I hope that your plea is heard, James.  A love such as yours should be returned a thousandfold to you.  Wonderfully said.

Dear me...better yet..Dear you..
How I understand this. To the person in the poem I would say, Don't give up, but don't hesitate when and if something else comes beautifully your way.

To you, the author, I say this is beautiful and heartfelt. I love it.

We're sorry..this heart has been d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d. Should you like to hold the line we'll be glad to reconnect you..
