A Heart Upon My Cheek

Each time he comes into my view
My smile becomes an I love You.
It's written on my face you see,
Those words that ink invisibly.

Each time my eyes close into night
My dreams take off into their flight.
My heart rests there between the feel
Of satin sheet and cheek of real.

Each moment viewed behind closed sight
Brings into view in shadows might,
A heart upon a cheek in place,
For waiting lips, a kiss to grace.

As silent words in mind I file,
I share my heart, my love, in smile.

~Wynter

...thank you Balladeer for being inspiring tonight

"The worst prison would be a closed heart".

isn't it nice when we are inspired by another poet, it's what makes Passions the cherry instead the pit, and what did I just say, it's after midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wynter, It is very hard to write a piece in couplets and you did a good job with this. Great theme too. WTG. Panne

Sunshine
I had a depressing day 'til I read his poem and thought this has good prospects for a poem of my own

I have no problem rhyming and I appreciate your kind response ... I usually have to fight myself not to rhyme in couplets...

and  give credit to Balladeer for the theme..it was his...
