The Path

What once was easy walking
no hesitation in her stride
traveling with an airy pace
her lover by her side

The sun had shone so brightly
the Birds they flew with grace
the world was full of laughter
there was a smile upon her face.

Their kisses were like magic
hypnotic was his eyes
together they made promises
for True Love never dies.

They climbed that hill together
through out the passing years
renewing their Vows of commitment
overcoming all their fears.

She walks along the lonely Path
she is weak but must be brave
her memories they give her strength
As she visits her husbands grave.

May each one of us have those special memories when our loved one preceeds us...to comfort us and put a smile on our face...James

Oh, how sweet yet sad.  Letting go is never easy.
