Spring Cleaning

You and I and years together,
sweep and clean we do each spring,
trace the path wherein we sparkled,
feel the dusty place’s sting.

Still your hand with large circumference
captures my small finger’s dart,
and thus you feel it when I shiver
for you listen with your heart.

Some dark places we have been in,
I thought I’d lost the man I knew,
I looked in me to see what held me
while the stormy sky I flew.

I found that I could keep on moving
beyond the quiet lonely pool,
for time moves on and life keeps needing
to water using loving tools.

Now each day we see to cleaning
any heartache we have made
and when we see a problem growing
we lift with four arms and it fades.

The years of you and I together
is a good thing I can see,
always moving always changing
sweeping sidewalks heart with we.

When one empties  the trash daily, garbage doesn't accumulate. You have swept me away here, Martie

"for you listen with your heart."

If I say that you swept me away with this one, will that mean that I'm trash.     Good work, Martie.  I like the difference in what I see here.

~Martie,...pleased to have read this one, and perhaps I should be doing a little of that cleaning in my own world here. This was great. Thanks you. *Peace.

Some dark places we have been in,
I thought I’d lost the man I knew,
--------------------
Now each day we see to cleaning
any heartache we have made
and when we see a problem growing
we lift with four arms and it fades.

The years of you and I together
is a good thing I can see,
always moving always changing
sweeping sidewalks heart with we.

Deep down inside, we all KNOW that love takes work and that if wounds aren't tended, they fester and can kill that fragile "us" being. But you take that knowing and gift us with showing the power of four arms and two hearts working together... It is a good thing to see. *S* Beautiful, Martie... this is one of my favorites in your collection of perfection.
