A love intercession
when that first kiss
embraces all your senses

Like a fragrant spring wind
caressing ears, nose, tongue
eyes and lips begun
A wind of destiny
whispers your name
Kissed, I'm transformed
remolded, recast, glowing
signed with love's hallmark

Despite me, the thoughts
run rampant:

WE run rampant
as through fields of flowers

I behold you
and for the first time
know the source of all I feel

I want to lie within your arms
feel you
You are the butterflies in my stomach
the honeydew on my lips
the music of my heart

The rain that falls softly
upon the field touching
me with every sweet thought
I've ever held

(The loved one responds)

How deeply, warmly
you've touched my heart
do you think those butterflies
are yours alone?

despite the distance
between us
the soft rain falls on me too
Its cool drops
linger on my lips
Tasting of the melon sweetness
of your lips

The field grass
that caresses my body:
Your hands

The wildflowers
kissing my cheeks:
Your lips

The breezes
rustling the grass:
I hear
your words of love

I melt into the soil
My heart swells so
I feel it will burst
Through my chest

As the ground embraces me
(Your arms, your body)
Cataclysmic forces
unleashed,
We are bonded
united
Pyrotechnic explosions
Flow between us

New flowers
never seen
sprout, bud, blossom

Calmness never felt before
seals the bond
as we lie together

We are one

The first duty of love is to listen.

Don't you just love it when the two sides of one's brain holds such an interesting conversation!?  Well done, Mr. Yeats!
