From last summer...a concert in the park and two toddlers 'dealing' with each other.

Strawberry Curls
Virginia Salter

Strawberry curls
meet baseball cap
in the evenin’ of days

two feet tall
each be
eying th’ other
surreptitiously

she rocks, sways,
bounces to the beat
he, clutches two rubber balls
stands, starin’, on his feet

seems that two
or forty-two
communication of the sexes
barely makes it through

I love children and I love this poem...when you put the two ingredients together you get one huge smile from this girl.  Well done.

This is so cute!  It is something most of us have seen when dealing with toddlers and described well.

Thanks Sharon and Betty, so happy you got a kick out of this piece.  It was a charming inspiration, they were both just adorable!
