If I could reach the dullness
this slow-moving pain
and fed-up sigh

beneath
rotted soil I'd bury it
so that it may
perish
suffer in coldness
slowly
    very
      slowly
as I have

an eye for an eye
they say

but

I can't find it's beginning
where did it begin?

Lord, grace me with light
so that I may discard it

Look to the first tug of love on your heart-- there you will find the beginning.....great work again Maree...
