Listening to every heart

Have you ever watched a woman talk?
A real woman? Not a plastic beauty queen
but one that knows from what she’s seen;
one that also can walk the walk...
have you ever watched a woman talk?

It starts down deep with a mix of brain
A thought process that begins a refrain
deep from her diaphram, up through her throat
when she speaks to you of the words she wrote
and huskily tells you, she would say them again.

Without any deception, she’s sensuous for you
even when she recites a grocery list
because if you stroke the violin fine
as you think you can always do
that is when you will begin to discover the kiss.

You thought it was just skin and soft lips
when she turns to look at you, standing there
ready to bare a part of herself.
And her shift shifts to her hips.
But your gaze doesn’t linger there.

She’s talking, and walking, coming toward you,
your eyes mesmerized by how the words come through
those lips, sensuous; voice, husky, warm and true
all of those words she's saved for you.
Out of those lips, so soft, ‘tho not new.

Oh good lord, here they come upon your skin
warm and luscious, you’re wilting within,
touching you here, there, can a man melt?
The lips of a woman like you’ve never felt.
Never before have you experienced such passion.

Have you ever watched a woman talk?
Have you ever watched her walk the walk?
Have you ever known such passion true?
When she gives all of this........
to you?

You know, until recently I probably wouldn't have appreciated this poem as much.  Having read this after getting together with Linda I can honestly say yes to the "have you's" in this poem - and wow, what a differance it makes to have someone in my life who's real and not "plastic", who's sensuous and loving and full of passion.  I don't think I caught this the first time you posted it but I'm glad you posted the revision.

Very well done.

Kari dear heart, this is outstandingly written, I hear a woman a real woman talk everytime I read you dear heart. You are this, and so much more. Absolutely divinely perfect. Utterly utterly fabulous. Do I love this, yes, This is going on the wall. In the canteen, in the hall, in the A & E it's bound to walk, because everything does, but when it does, I shall have a little pile to replace it with. (I wonder if I should post this in the Labour Suite too? Yes why not!)
Excellant one love

Glad I read this one, Kari. A very nice affirmation for women, and very beautifully written.
