When the last of rain arrives today,
It brings with it the falsity of a new day,

From the soil they spring forth,
Not knowing if they will grow,

Darkness viewed as giving light,
No longer they are tempted to fight,

Feeling of hope spreads through all,
Failing to notice the chilling call,

In unison they wait,
Awaiting their fate,

Ending by the drop,
For the cycle cannot stop.

Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.)

Thank you for your comments. I have not written a poem in a long time.
