Over and over, the silence
could have killed my thoughts.
The memories of a moment
that last and disappear have
had their collective grip on me.
Same old bull that traces it fingers
of pain deep within my skull.
How is that I wanted to
feel it all again, but in truth would much
rather have it just happen.
Love.
Simple, transparent, meaningful and meaningless.
All of it touched with a hang-over truth
beyond a single moment we have held.
Okay, your asking what the
hell is he talking about.
I’m talking about feeling
again in a life that wants it.
The little pleasure of having
someone to hold, and to be held.
I have this in a way
From one that truly
Wants to believe in more
Than the pieces, but the sum.
What better existence could
Come from this you ask.
My soul being repaired
On my own for a chance
To make things right
For the first time
In my whole bloody life.
And of her? That one that
Has me still within her heart.
Her eyes can still effect,
Her voice still transcend,
And thankyou, for
For giving me the chance.
