Warmth of Spring In My Heart
By
serenity and sharon

backspacing my life
rewriting it as I go
every step a cold imprint
of all the spaces that I know
too afraid to stop now
too afraid to let go
enchanted by sky of ice
that melds into my earthen snow
gone now is the chill of you
I search for warming sun
I would shout for joy this morn,
but  I fear all would be undone
I reach with hands of frost
to seek your heart of fire
as the sun turns pink the ice
unto my heart, I do aspire

"I reach with hands of frost

as the sun turns pink the ice
unto my heart, I do aspire"

I applaud you two on a wonderfully composed duet.  Excellent writing!

very very cool girlies ...
your rhymes are on time.

Bravo and much applause for you both!  Well expressed, and, boy, do I ever see myself in these words.  I'm still trying to let go of him...

Take care,
Melissa

Thank you all!!

The s & s poetry club thanks you! At least I do, the other s is off doing something weird I think - whereas (I love that word!) I am doing the correct thing. I'll go tell her to stop running up and down the street in her Mardi Gras mask and come in her and make nice to all of you!

To two people that mean a lot to me. . . both of you are indeed wonderful. . . and together??  Well, you're both just more wonderful. . . and this is a perfect example. . .

Excellent you two. . .
