I guess the earth likes Gary Numan.
It was on Metal; the bed felt like a ball bearing on ice.
Now I feel a pulse in my feet –
every noise needs deciphering.
Plane, man moving chair, tv on low,
reporting.

Let’s see if the earth like Cars.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ...
87, 88, 89

(gulp)
It likes the idea.
Cabinets, rattling hinges. Sink needs to be emptied.
Muffled underground bomb.

Interesting that you write this just as South America experiences an earthquake...

SEA, it's about an earthquake (and its aftershock) that happened about 30 minutes ago.

Sunshine, same thing for Southern California.

Me, I saw earthquake; if I was blinded by what I saw, liked it without know what it meant...I mean, heck, I like the way it read!

I was on 4th floor of hotel in Hollywood years ago when that 6.4 or so hit...saw then what I saw here.

You got it right!   I moved to California about half a decade after the Northridge quake, but I know which one you're talking about (heck, I live in Northridge now) Thanks for reading, and for liking my style.

Guess you guys were posting same time as me...only response there was SEA's. Know the feeling about the bed...was left hanging in air when it slid out from under me.  Could see through a crack in the wall. Moved to a first floor place shorty after. Figured if it happend again...well if the ground opens that 's one thing, but didn't want an eight story building falling on me too.

Hope you faired well...sounds like you did.  They're a different sort of beast aren't they.  

My wife was born in Northridge!
