To my secret valentine
Little flower of joy
Warming hearts of passions
So pert, so prim, so coy

Grasping for the words to say
What others never knew
The greatest of life’s treasures
Kept deep inside of you

The understanding, joy and love
That dwell within your soul
That never found a fountain
For these gifts to e’re be told

They’re written in your gestures
And the warmth within your smile
And for one glimpse into that place
I’d walk a hundred miles

But I know just from what you do
The words you cannot say
The magnitude of your sweet heart
That’s clearly on display

And so on this the day of hearts
From my poor heart to yours
I offer you a valentine
That from my fountain pours

Happy Valentine’s Day
Liz

Elizabeth, what a lovely poem. I hope it helps some shy, lovestruck soul to tell their love.

Wonderful - Simply wonderful... Have a happy Valentine's Day, Liz...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.

for the recipient of this cadence kissed valentine wish ...
will fly to you, to make you smile

Looking back at you no disguise
Im not sure who you think youll see
Im just hoping youll still know that its me

Thank you all for your lovely responses, but Poet devine is the only one who is venturing to guess the subject.
Thanks for responding

This has got to be one of the sweetest Valentine messages I have ever read and I am sure that the one this one is for is floating miles high right now. I am not going to try and guess who it is but instead just enjoy knowing that someone out there has touched the heart of one of Passion's masters of the pen and one of these walls most sincere and sweetest poets around and that would be YOU. Beautiful words and a poem that stands on it's quality alone then wrapped in a true sincere packaging.

THank you for your sweet replies to this poem. Mark, tou make me weep. I think Poetdevine knows the answer, and since the day is almost over, at least here on the east coast, I'll have to admit, it's Pepper.
Happy Valentines Day, my dear

I knew it had to be someone very special to touch a heart as dear as yours... and I couldn't agree more with your selection. That sweet lady lifts so many hearts... and doesn't even realize how much sunshine she shares. *S* Beautiful poem, Elizabeth!

I was pouring over old Valentine's from my children when they were in grade school and this is such a beautiful reminder of what the day can bring. Thank you for sharing this with us.
