So Goes...An Internet Poet

In dead of winter as this day grows cold
Shadows come forward, to banish the calm.
Been spending the time, too much on this "hold"
Dressed up, she's counting with watch in her palm.
Waiting each nighttime to go out with him
He wears a suit, one of words, can't describe.
Pockets the adjectives, as candles dim
She's nouning and verbing each note she scribes.
Attention seeking to while away days
Until the springtime arrives with it's new.
Then leaving she will, both parting their ways
Doing whatever they both need to do.

So goes the life of an internet poet
Whiles away winter, wouldn't you know it?

just a sonnet to while away the

Nice reading.  Just whiling away time?  Perhaps.  But then, who knows what spring may bring?

Spending your time
With a bit of rhyme
Needs no lament -
It's time well spent! *S*
